Government corruption runs deep and President Trump won’t stop till he gets to the bottom of it.
Investigations into the voter fraud issue during the 2016 election are underway, however not all states are ready to comply. Jay Inslee, Governor of Washington has released a statement refusing to release voter data to the Trump administration claiming the safety of his citizens identity. However he slipped up by saying the real reason.
Trump administration moves to investigate, multiple states have refused to turn over their voter data — a fact that has the president a little concerned:
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
Numerous states are refusing to give information to the very distinguished VOTER FRAUD PANEL. What are they trying to hide?
One of the states standing firm is Washington — and Governor Jay Inslee issued an official response to the panel’s request.
His statement reads:
I spoke with Secretary of State Wyman this afternoon about the Trump administration’s request for voter data. My fear is that this request will only further the President’s unfounded claims about voter fraud and will be used for voter suppression efforts.
I can assure you that our state won’t share any information that isn’t already accessible to the public. Personal information like social security numbers, phone numbers, email addresses and driver’s license numbers will be protected.
I believe Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann offered an excellent template for a response to the administration’s request, though I’d strongly suggest they jump in Lake Washington.
